Suffering Angel

From the Archives of the Chrystal Gems Journal

A Letter From an Angel

Dear Chrystal Gems,

Once upon a time, I was just a normal sixteen-year-old. Actually, I was the typical nerd, except for the fact that I spent an extra two hours at school every afternoon to wait for my dad to pick me up, but who could live a normal life when you find out that instead of your dad, his bodyguards are going to bring you home.
I am Pen Angel. Other people would kill to be where I am now, but I would die to end my living nightmares.
I wished I died at that moment. Why did I have to see them? I was going to be gone in a few weeks, out of their lives forever. Why couldn’t they just let me leave in peace? Are they that soulless to let me suffer one last time, even when I’m already doing what they wanted?
I’m starting to think that the reason why I’m alive is only to suffer under their hands. An angel trapped in the cold depths of Hell, and held back by the very people she trusted most. I am free to live, but not to die.
I’m the guardian angel who protects them, and yet goes unseen. I’m the protector of the very people who fail to notice me. My name is Pen Angel, the heir of their suffering.

Everlastingly Yours,

Pen Angel
